A Prodigal Son?- Week 92 (12/14/20)

Why, hello!

Long time no talk.
I'm alive.
I love you all.

November was great.
We had the wonderful opportunity of baptizing San juanita and her daughters, [a family of 6], and it was absolutely amazing. Theyve come to church every week since then, and we go over at least 2 times a week haha... they're basically my little sisters at this point.
Our zone broke a watermark! Things were readjusted as a lot of our zone ended up changing, both areas and people, and so we broke the new watermark!! It was very exciting.
I can't believe that I'm already in December. I'm at 22 months! I'm so old.

We've done a lot of exchanges with other missionaries, and suffice it to say, I'm shocked sometimes when I think of how far I've come. Many of the members of our zone are greenies [missionaries with between 0 and 12 weeks of experience] and being able to teach and talk with them makes me ponder and think a lot.
A few of them will sit down and ask me questions about the gospel or ask me to teach things and today one of the missionaries came to me and said, "Thank you for everything you've done for me. You've taught me a lot, and I hope I can make it to where you're at now one day!"
I'm still thinking about it.
Have I become a good example now? Someone who others want to follow?
Personally I feel like I have a lot to work on still, and as I sit and attempt to study and practice, I still feel inadequate, but I can't help but marvel at the progress I've already made in this short few years.

The saying, "imagine everyone in the world suddenly acting the way you act. Does that make the world a better or a worse place?" has stayed with me for a long time. "Put yourself on another's level," and, "imagine if you were them," often make me think as well.
I think that as we ponder and meditate upon our actions, we should be asking ourselves why we are even doing what we are doing. (Hopefully that makes sense)
In essence, "why are you doing what you're doing? What's the purpose?"
In spanish...
"Para qué?"

I hope that you're all doing well!! I love you all so much, and I'm sometimes a little stressed by how much time i have (or rather, dont have) left.
Be safe.
Have fun.
Do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. (Micah 6:8)
