Good News and Bad News- Week 28 (9/16/19)

Image
Hello everyone, I hope your week was awesome! My week was suppperrr interesting! We went to urgent care, called the police, and i learned how to crochet! Some people ended up being REALLY not ready, and one person that was doing really well ended up ghosting us now so that's cool... But we also found two new families that are SOOOOO cool! They had some problems before but they just barely got them sorted out so they could honestly be baptized super quick! Elder Quispe cut his finger when we went over and helped cleaned an Hermana's house, and he ended up needing to get it glued shut. So, urgent care. Someone also stole my bike this week! Sucks, I know, but I'm not too stressed! A lot of our investigators and the members have connections (either with the "people" or with pawn shops or otherwise) and are helping me out to look for it! And then, ANOTHER investigator said he would straight up just give me a bike because he had a friend who sold them! H...

6 Months? But Who's Counting... - Week 27 (9/9/19)

Woman at the Well by Michael Dudash I'm definitely not counting. Are you? (Just kidding it's a sin to lie, lowkey I'm counting, im sorry hahahaha) My week has been alright! I got a few packages for me 6 month mark, and a few really cool study books! I've just loved reading and studying and learning.  Honestly, that's something that's really, really surprised me. With Elder Quispe, I've been sharing a lot of the things I've learned. He has a lot of questions. Overall, learning a lot of things is easy. It just takes some time and the discipline to not fall asleep reading! I've read through hundreds of papers, probably over two thirds of the bible and book of Mormon, and quite a few theological books like Jesus the Christ and The Great Apostasy. It's been really cool to see in retrospect how much I've learned. Hm. We've been doing a lot of knocking this week. A lot of our people that we've been finding have ...

Short and Sweet- Week 26 (9/2/19)

Greatest In The Kingdom by J. Kirk Richards No, this title has nothing to do with my height. Rude. This week was a little strugglesome, but overall a ton of fun. I'm really liking our group here, which is good because a lot of the time working this week has been difficult. A lot of people just arent interested, and some of our people who said they were interested just arent keeping commitments. From people telling us we're terrible at our job, to literally yelling for us "f*** you", to popping BOTH my bike tires, this week was less than desirable... But we've really found a few of "La Joya"'s these past few days. Its remarkable how even in our hard days, there are still some good things that are bound to happen. Not too much else; we're just working haha! Wish me luck, and I hope you all have a great week!  Love you all!
