Some Serious Self Reflexion- Week 34 (10/28/19)

Image
Just kidding. This week, as per usual, has been good! It's all about finding that good attitude. Every week there are things that happen that ARENT good, and there are things that happen that ARE good. If I were to focus on just the terrible, i know for a fact that i would just go home. But, it's all about recognizing what's happening and that I need to keep moving past it. Other than that, I'm not really sure what happened this week. Some other Elders came and stayed with us so we had a 6 man apartment and all slept out in our living room, that was a lot of fun! Always, always studying! I was telling my son (my trainee) how you can learn SO much just by using what the church has already provided on the Gospel Library app. Theres a lot of cool things just waiting to be found. Go and look around and let me know if you find anything cool. (Or if you want some cool little talks or essays)  Be safe, have fun, I love you all! Have a ~S~P~O...

I Love To See The Temple- Week 33 (10/21/19)

Image
Draper Utah Temple This will be a short email, but I love you all. For some reason, this week we talked about temples repeatedly. With investigators, with an apostle, with our stake president, bishop... name it. The temple is an incredible place. I know that it is within those sacred buildings that we perform the necessary ordinances for our salvation. I know that it's there that we can learn how to continue progressing, and even be sealed to those we love. The temple teaches about life after death. I know that our life doesnt end here. Today mark's 2 years since the passing of Ty. I miss him. I'm sure many of you who knew him do too. But I know where he is now, and I know that he is okay. Ether 12:4 Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works...

Axis and Allies: Missionary Edition: The Sons of Perdition vs Everyone Else- Week 32 (10/14/19)

Image
Is that title too rogue? I thought it was funny. Its definitely true anyways... I hope your guys' week has been so good! Ours had some aweeeessssommme upsides. We've been working really, really hard with some investigators and we currently have three more really solid baptismal dates within the next few weeks, so stay tuned for those. One of our absolute favorite families is working really hard to finish some legal stuff so that the couple can get married, and then our bishop should marry them, and they'll be baptized soon enough after!! This next week Elder Suarez will be coming down and having some conferences with us!!!! We're SO excited! It's going to be really interesting. And, I'm playing piano. They said if I mess up, I'll probably get sent home. (Just kidding) [probably] Besides that, we're doing good! Playing a bit of Axis and Allies every so often, studying, watching the amazing new Book of Mormon videos, it's been good! ...

Facebook Post from Elder Reginato

Have you ever wondered about where you were before you were born? Or about why you're even here? What about where your loved ones will go after they die? Our Loving Father in Heaven has a plan. He has one for you, and for me. For your siblings, your friends, and your neighbors. And He would love to tell you all about it. Ask a local missionary from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to teach you the Plan of Salvation! (Show them this picture and they'll explain the meaning)

"YES I'M A SUCCESSFUL FATHER, I CAN GO DIE NOW."- Week 31 (10/7/19)

Hi everyone! Long week, means short email! Just kidding. Kinda. My trainer said the title to this email just a bit before he finished his mission, and this week I've felt a lot like I'm trying to remember what he did to make me reach the point I'm at now! Training is stressful to say the least; I know that whatever my "son" doesnt know, I have to teach him! Ridiculous. Elder Cannegieter is doing great though, regardless of my stressing. He has a lot of knowledge, and I know that he'll be twice the missionary I am or will be. He has a lot to work on, but I have faith in him. - TodavĂa I find that I have plllenntyyy to learn. Elder Wright knew a lot more than I know even now, and he picked up slack I didnt know I was leaving! The Spirit helps me more than enough, but I frequently still feel inadequate. However, with more studying, more faith, and more diligence, I know the Lord will help me be what he wants me to be. - Conference this wee...

Transfer 5: What to Expect- Week 30 (9/30/19)

Image
Alright boys and squirrels... I'm about to finish my fourth transfer! Tomorrow, I'm going to be entering my fifth transfer, and guess what..... IM GOING TO BE A TRAINER! Am I stressed? Of course. Am i going to do well? Hopefully. Will this greenie have the most lit father ever? Absolutely. I'm really hoping I get someone I'm able to bond and just do great with. But I'll do what the Lord desires, after all, hes the one asking anyways. Not too much else! This week was REALLY tiring, but I'm going to keep doing my best as we move forward. Today we went bowling, and earlier in the week we had a talent show! I'll send the talent show videos to my mum. Hm, not too much else honestly. The church put out some Book of Mormon videos that have been supppeerrr cool! Watch them if you get a chance. I love all of yall, and wish for the best. Have a great week, and stay safe! :) -Elder Reginato Mission Visit from Elder & Sister Kacher

Border Patrol Is Pretty Cool tbh- Week 29 (9/23/19)

Hi Everyone!  Hahaha I feel bad writing these emails because I never know what to say so I always write just short little emails, and then people still email me and they're like, "Elder, what the heck, write longer emails." So. Um, sorry. But I'll start doing that next week! (Maybe!) Not too much happened this week; I got a loan bike from the mission, which is nice. I also popped a tire on it on friday while riding on the military road down by the border. So Border Patrol drove by, and offered us a ride, which we graciously took cuz it was almost dark and we were exhausted Haha. We were returning on a 10 mile one way trip, and our legs were tiiiirrreeedddd... We set a baptismal date with some people we're teaching, and I'm so excited! The mom just has this light, and she wants to change so much. Honestly, she makes me take a look at myself. Am I as desirous as she is? Do I want the gospel, and am I as thankful for it as she is? T...
