"Apart"alaxy- Week 15 (6/17/19)

What to say.... It feels like Pday was just yesterday! Time is absolutely flying by here, which is really nice. I'm absolutely exhausted like 1000% of the time, but I think that's a good thing, it means I must be working at least kind of hard, right? Ah this week has been a blast. Although this certainly isn't easy, I've been trying my hardest to be happy and positive. D&C 123:17 says, "Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed." My companion has this scripture up on his wall, and I think it's a good reminder to always try your best to be cheerful and do everything that you can do. I think I say it like every week, but I'm really enjoying the study time we have. There's so much information that is available, but I've just never had the time or desire to read it. If...

"Vietnam, Vietnam"- Week 14 (6/10/19)

This email will be short, but worth your time nonetheless. (Or maybe it won't be who knows I'm just tryna help okay?) This week we knocked sooooooooooooooooooo much. It was over a hundred degrees EVERY day, and we would always (for some reason) go out and knock during the hottest time of the day. :) With my white shirt on, I felt like olaf. Melting like a dumb little snowman out in the heat. :) But we found a ton of cool people! Everyone is so nice here. My title comes from the fact that we knocked a door and a small, old lady came out quickly and quietly speaking what we THOUGHT was Spanish. After a minute or two of awkward "hermana que?????" And "umm somos missioneros" I finally understood that she was trying to say she was vietnamese. First question. Why are these people here in what is basically northern Mexico? Second question. Why. Why would you answer the door if you dont speak English or Spanish. Who are you expecting to come by for a ...

Zoinks Scoobs- Week 13 (6/3/19)

Sooooo lol There are so many dogs, everywhere, all the time. I got my first bite this week, luckily it's really not like anything; tis just a flesh wound. (Dont worry its finnneee) It luckily didn't really even make it through my pants, so it couldve been a lot worse. Definitely glad I was being protected! [Chihuahua's are the devils breed] But what else this week, it all kinda seems boring compared to that. Today we had a water balloon fight for pday morning. Earlier this week we got to participate in a going away party for one of the senior missionaries. (He was super awesome. He took us out to eat like 4 times) We've been able to find some SUPPEER cool people. There was one family we taught where at the end of the lesson, the husband literally interrupted us to ask when we could come back haha. The people here are really nice, and a lot of times even though they dont want to listen, they'll be more than willing to give us water bottles or let us stand ...

Haircuts are cool except they're not- Week 12 (5/27/19)

I'm writing this right after I've gotten a haircut, and it feels like there are bugs all over me (because of the hairs) and it's making me mistype so much haha! I hope it's just hair!! :))))))) (Sooooo sick of the bugs here haha) But hello everyone! I'll keep this one short, this week something happened to my email and it wont show me the emails I got past a certain time this week, so I'll have to respond to everyone personally next week, sorry!!! But yes what to say, We set two new baptismal dates this week, so hopefully the two people (Junior and Ana) will actually keep their commitments and wont fizzle out!!! We're praying for them, and they're both really really cool people. They've been really interested in the things we've been teaching, which is always nice. I'm always happy when I can teach a lesson, I just love the way it makes sense to people who have felt lost in their religion or who just have questions that they cant fin...
