Elder Reginato was released from full-time missionary service after completing 2 wonderful  years in McAllen, Texas. This time was a blessing for him, for the people of Texas, and of  course, for his whole family💙 We love you Isa and are so proud of you!

Week #101

A Perfect Brightness of Hope by Scott Sligting 101 weeks. 707 days. 16,968 hours. Is that a long time? Some days I would answer yes. Some days I would answer yes a little less quick. Some days I MIGHT even say no, that it really isn't that long. Because, at the end of any given period of time you don't remember everything, solely the few moments that burned themselves into your memory.  Things like  Debating about calling CPS on a family with 4 children, Holding a bucket for an alcoholic to throw up into, Seeing a grandma have a stroke and narrowly avoid hitting your car before crashing, The first time you walk into a trailer that houses a family of 10 that's the size of your living room at home, Hearing the cries of someone who just got the phonecall for a loved one's death. 101 weeks is not a long time after all, actually. But some moments seemed to last an eternity. "[T]he time passed away with us, and also our lives passed away like as it were unto us a dream.....

Lift Up the Hands That Hang Down,  by J. Kirk Richards   Where I am is called ROBSTOWN, not RAYMONDVILLE lol [That's where I was like 8 months ago] As of right now I only have 2 pdays left... This mission has gone by so fast. I think back to my first day in the MTC, hurriedly pulling my suitcases along uneven sidewalk in the middle of Mexico City... my shoulder hurt because I hadn't worked it out in a long time haha. Today we drove to Corpus, sold some couches we had in our apartment. I felt so, old[?] as we drove by the beach side again. I saw the Portland bridge that I would drive on almost weekly when I was in Sinton a year ago.  My mission President and close mission friends tell me that I've changed a lot since then. I wonder what it was that influenced me to change. I feel less focused on material things... less focused on trivial things... I want to help others more, dedicate less time to myself. I'm excited to grow older and start a family, something that stress...
