A Brief Study of the Old Testament- Week 17 (7/1/19)

Jehovah Creates the Earth (Jesus Christ Creates the Earth and the Heavens), by Walter Rane

Hi everyone!!! Not really sure if anyone reads these but hello haha

I'm suppppppeeerrr sorry that my email last week didn't send! I tried to include some pictures, I think that that's why it didn't send.
But my week this week has been insane!
Last Monday right after pday ended we talked to a person who has been going to church for over 20 years and just hasn't wanted to be baptized! His wife and both kids are active members, but he just never felt like he should be baptized. Finally, for some reason, he felt like it was time, so we went over and all last week we worked with him and he was baptized on Thursday!!!!!!! It was super awesome, I dont think I'll be able to send pictures this week (I dont have any on my phone) but I'll try to get some next week from someone.

Also on Monday last week, there was a MASSIVE rainstorm, and a lot of the valley flooded. Where we had parked our car there were like 6-7 inches of just standing water. My shoes were soooaaakkkeeeddd.
There was a ton of lightning, thunder, rain.... it was amazing.
⚡⛈🌩⚡⛈🌩⚡⛈

Ahh what else.
Yesterday we broke our zone watermark goal!! We baptized the most people this zone has ever had baptized!! It was super cool to be a part of, and honestly, it was all the Lord.
Our two baptisms were people that the Lord had prepared, not us.

The title!! Haha!!
This last week my wonderful mother sent me a book that helped me study through the old testament. That book is one of the most amazing things I have ever read. I absolutely loved it, and it helped explain the old testament to me in a way that made It more simple than i ever could have imagined.
I was already studying the old testament, but this book helped me kick my studies into overdrive!
After all that I've learned, I can just say that Jesus Christ is the corner of everything.
From the beginning of time our loving Father has provided us with the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation, and he has always given us what we need to be able to make it back to him. Everything in the scriptures connects together, and points towards Christ.

Ah I love you all.
Be safe please, rely on God, do what you know is right.
I believe in you guys,
Amo

Elder Reginato

Sinton Sunset Hi everyone! This week was CRAZY! Tuesday. We had transfers! I'm staying (woot) with Elder De Leon here in Sinton! That day our car battery also died in the morning so we had to go down to Corpus Christi to get a new battery. It took a ton of time but it was pretty funny. We ended the night with the family home evening we always have, and we decided to have everyone watch Joseph Smith, the Prophet of the Restoration. It's an awesome movie! I think it's interesting when people say we "worship" Joseph Smith. Do they "worship" Saint Paul? Saint Peter? No, no one worships a prophet. Just kidding some people do but it's not actually our religion lol, which some people really dont seem to understand. Wednesday. Overall, not bad. We were able to see some of the Presidential Impeachment with an investigator, as well as go out to dinner with another. We taught some lessons, some people, and we ended up having dinner with someone t...

I'm writing this right after I've gotten a haircut, and it feels like there are bugs all over me (because of the hairs) and it's making me mistype so much haha! I hope it's just hair!! :))))))) (Sooooo sick of the bugs here haha) But hello everyone! I'll keep this one short, this week something happened to my email and it wont show me the emails I got past a certain time this week, so I'll have to respond to everyone personally next week, sorry!!! But yes what to say, We set two new baptismal dates this week, so hopefully the two people (Junior and Ana) will actually keep their commitments and wont fizzle out!!! We're praying for them, and they're both really really cool people. They've been really interested in the things we've been teaching, which is always nice. I'm always happy when I can teach a lesson, I just love the way it makes sense to people who have felt lost in their religion or who just have questions that they cant fin...

"What did you have for dinner? You better not say salad. I hate that word. If you say it, I will ignore you."- Week 45 (1/13/2020)

Lehi’s Dream, by Steven Lloyd Neal Hi all! Short email this week. I had my first family home evening up here in Sinton! We had like triple the attendance of our usual sacrament meetings which blew my mind. We also played family feud with a member family after we had dinner, that was a blast. Am I intelligent? I like to think so. But when the question is, "name a precious gem or stone." and i blurt out, "Garnet." even I must doubt my own ability at least a little bit. We set ANOTHER BD this week, although we had to move the one from last week back. :( The good news is that we should have 2 baptisms this Saturday. Also, we finally committed one of the boys here to serve! We got him to set a date, text the bishop, and everything. It felt really nice. Not too much else. We had some funny moments, some tiring ones, everything in between! I've decided to read the entire book of Mormon at least once every month this year. We'll see how I do. So f...
