TRANSFERS BUT FO' REAL FO' REAL- Week 24 (8/19/19)
Fishers of Men, by Mary Ann Wright
I'm really busy.....
BECAUSE IM TRANSFERRING.
I've been in Pharr, Texas for about four and a half months and now I'll be headed over to La Joya! It's going to be a ton of fun! I hope!
:)
This week has been SO crazy...
-We helped this random old man cut down a tree...
-We helped some people move.... and they gave us BOOTS. LIKE REALLY, REALLY NICE BOOTS. (Mine look so good, they black leather and apparently ostrich?????)
-We made cake! (Finally)
-We had interviews with our mission president for the first time! They went really well. Hes a super nice guy, and hes honestly always so friendly.
-Christie and I matched pants one day (just fo' fun)
-We've also found sooooo many prepared people this week. I'm honestly a little sad to be leaving.... I really hope that everything goes well with them! They're really cool people and the Lord has placed them in our path, and I was lucky to meet them!
-We've had some GOOD lessons with our progressing investigators. They're super excited for baptism!! Haha I wont be there but I'm pumped for them!!!!
-When saying goodbye to one less active grandpa, we read, we talked for a little bit, and when i said goodbye i could just see that his shoulders slouched just a little bit more than before and I even saw a little tear! It made me tear up a little too, I'm not going to lie...
He was such a nice, hard working old man. He doesnt have a lot of support from his family, so it's been really hard for him to be active, but I think he really appreciated Elder Wright and I trying to make an effort to involve him more.
Be nice to people you meet! So many people are having a hard time, are having difficulties that they dont talk about.
And have more faith in people! You'd be surprised how genuine they want to be, they just rarely have a chance to really, really sit down and talk to someone about life.
I love all of yall; Keep on chugging along.
Make every day meaningful
-Elder Reginato
