Absolutely NO fricks, hecks, darns, dangs...- Week 10 (5/13/19)

Apparently when people say hello they'll sometimes lead with "Buenas" into a situation.
For example.
Answering the phone.
Or that's also how we say hi if like a door is open or something, so that's cool.
But anyways that's a long explanation for the fact that I was going to start this email with Buenas.

Buenas.

This week has been alright overall.
They kind of blend together, which is funny because I've only been out for TWO MONTHS. (Let's go!)

What else.
Um we've been doing pretty well teaching, lots of weird people down here.
This week was big on people trying to kind of flirt with us, big yikes I know.
I guess my eyes are just too pretty.

Hm.
We met a family that the mom just had a divorce and she has SEVENTEEN KIDS.
SEVENTEEN.
So many, honestly kind of ridiculous.
They're doing good overall though, they came to a family home evening last week which was really cool.
It was kind of hard teaching because the kids only speak English but the adults mostly only speak Spanish.

We also study a LOT.
Like hours everyday.
One thing I learned this week is that a reason that the numbers in the old testament are so big is that some of the Hebrew words would be shortened and their shortened versions are the same as other words, so they would pretty easily confuse some words, like "thousand" and "armed soldier". (?????)
Not sure why those are basically the same word in Hebrew but that's pretty cool.
Scripture study can be super cool when you're learning some background info.

Anyways this has been a pretty long email of rambling but I miss all of you!
Maybe email me sometime?
I wish you all the best of luck and I hope that you're all pursuing whatever goals you want.
You've got this!
I love all of y'all.

Sincerely,
Your favorite Argentine Texan Elder,
Elder Reginato
