Piano time- Week 3 Update (3/27/19)

So Wednesdays have definitely become a favorite day around here:) I usually start the day with an email from Isa, and then we get to text throughout the day which is awesome! He has officially passed the halfway mark at the MTC, he heads out to Texas on April 15th!

He really loves getting messages so here is his email in case anyone needs it: isaiah.reginato@missionary.org

His update:

Hey everyone!
This week has been pretty good, and overall it flew by really fast.
Umm not too much has happened but I've got a few stories I guess

Literally last P day, after our day had ended and we went back to the room, I went to the bathroom like any normal person, and as I was sitting out of the corner of my eye I saw this monster. I'm proud to say that I responded adequately.
I got up and ran outside yelling for someone to come kill it.
:)

(The sucker was big okay don't judge me)

Um this week I practiced a lot because last night I performed piano at the devotional!
I played a piano solo, praise to the man, and a duet with Hermana Hancock who sang.
I have videos but I'll send them to mom and hopefully she can put them on the blog, so check there.
Otherwise I have two songs that I'm going to try to include, Praise to the Man and Come Thou Fount.
:)))

Overall nothing too big that I can think of.
However, last night, I prayed that I would be able to do well.
But, when I got called up to play, I started, and immediately noticed that the piano I was playing on was SOOO different than any of the ones I'd practice on, and it was low-key not a very good piano.
I messed up so much, and I was feeling so discouraged.
I played my solo first, so when the Hermana came up to sing she gave me a smile, told me to slow down, and not to worry.
Luckily our duet was fantastic.
However again, as I walked down to my spot, I realized that I had forgotten my phone up on the piano, and that it was audio recording the entire time!
When I went up at the end of the devotional to check my phone, the recording had been so long that it was deleted.
I was super discouraged about my solo and that it didn't record.
When I made it back to my room though, Elder Urban (one of the people in my district) came up and told me that he had felt prompted to record both my solo and the duet, and I was just so relieved.
I listened to both and I was so surprised, because it didn't sound that bad.
I knew personally that I could've done so much better, but I'm happy and relieved to say that it doesn't matter how well or how poorly I play, the Father and the Spirit will always help me.

Thanks to everyone who emailed me, if you know someone on here would you please just make sure that their email is right/ email me just once so I can confirm haha thanks
